DIES IRAE

music & lyrics / Hazuki

the end will be the fearsome flames of judgment, burning everything down to ashes
play it back in wide-open eyes
a vortex of candid thoughts in immobilized minds
at the time of a disconnected climax, PSYCHE1

unus duo tres quattuor

DESTRUCTION / REVELATION
DESTINATION / INSEPTION
ISOLATION / INFECTION

a vortex of candid thoughts in immobilized minds
blooms into disconnected screams

unus duo tres quattuor
quinque sex septem octo

BLESS GOD, KILL ME BLACK ASH
half-crazed, sing beautifully
BLESS GOD, KILL ME BLACK ASH
half-crazed, blame beautifully

the end will be the maddening flames of judgment, burning down demons and spirits
scream of this day beneath me

DIES IRAE

a vortex of candid thoughts in an immobilized mind
at the time of a disconnected climax, PSYCHE1

unus duo tres quattuor
quinque sex septem octo
novem decem undecim duodecim
tredecim

BLESS GOD, KILL ME BLACK ASH
half-crazed, sing beautifully
BLESS GOD, KILL ME BLACK ASH
half-crazed, blame beautifully

1: The pronunciation of “PSYCHE” here makes me think it’s possible it’s a stand-in for the Japanese phrase “Saa, ike” (“Now, go”)

“Dies irae” is the name of a Latin hymn, the title of which translates to “the day of wrath”. The themes covered here do match the actual hymn.

“The day of wrath, that day will dissolve the world in ashes, David being witness along with the Sibyl.”

Trivia: Hazuki was also the original vocalist for the song Dies Irae by his previous band, DEATHGAZE, which is just as good as this Dies Irae!
