lynch.’s drummer is known for his strange sense of humor, soft voice, (too) laid back personality and not-at-all “typically vk” appearance.

Asanao was invited to lynch. by Reo after a stint in a non-visual kei band, and promptly failed to show up for the band’s first recording session soon after due to oversleeping. This incident sums up Asanao perfectly: he lives at his own pace at all times. He is known for posting unusual drawings and photoshopped images on his Twitter and Instagram, and frequently tweets in bizarre language that is sometimes described as “Asanu-go”. He is also known for being slightly off the wall — he once described holding his breath underwater in the bathtub as long as possible as an activity he was doing for his health.

Like Hazuki and Akinori, Asanao is a huge fishing enthusiast and seems to have a large network of fishing acquaintances. He even makes his own fishing equipment as a hobby. Akinori has complained that when he introduces Asanao to his fishing friends, they end up hanging out with him more often than they hang out with Akinori. He also enjoys the Alien series of films, and collects various goods and merchandise of the titular alien. Graphic design and merchandise design is a major part of his role within the band, and it is thanks to him that lynch. has enjoyed many pieces of quirky merchandise such as condoms, cord organizers, post-its, and wax seals.

Asanao is also an animal lover. While his favorites are cats, he seems to find all manner of animals cute: dogs, lizards, and even spiders! (However, he hates cockroaches and mosquitoes.) He has multiple tattoos of the San-X character Afro Ken, and a leopard print tattoo. His white Persian cat Hanako was lynch.’s unofficial mascot until her unfortunate passing, even appearing in some promotional materials.
