lyrics / Hazuki
music / Yusuke
it steals me, down to my heart
if i put into words it’ll fall apart, but
what i remember is you
i want to touch you, your hair, my fingertips
even though it takes over my mind, swaying
i can’t say a thing, i can’t do a thing
i want to hold you, i want to kiss you so badly i could go mad
i want to steal you away to some place far off
stay here, even if this love is a sin
like a firework blooming in the night
disappearing and leaving behind nothing but beauty
i think of you alone in the dark
i’ll sing of you, still oblivious to everything
even though it takes over my mind, swaying
i can’t say a thing, i can’t do a thing
i want to hold you, i want to kiss you so badly i could go mad
i want to steal you away to some place far off
it can’t just be anyone, it has to be you
and yet you’re the only one that i can’t reach
stay here, even if this love is a sin
In a tweet on March 31st, 2014, Hazuki explains this song: “The one you want to touch most is the one you absolutely cannot touch. A love song that grapples with envy and destructive desire.”
He expanded on the themes in a tweet on March 17th 2014 as well, when the song was first revealed. A fan wrote that she listened to the lyrics and thought the title was fitting. He said: “It’s nasty, isn’t it? Not lewd, but a horrifyingly persistent nastiness. I’d decided on writing those lyrics ever since I heard the first demo. I really like them☻”
