EVIDENCE

music & lyrics / Hazuki

Are you fuck’n ready?
GO

Fall
completely unparalleled sound, cruelty and supplication
Hear me? God

No
destroy and corrupt death, life, and love
War is on

chaotic concepts, frenzied Psyche
bringing life back to the husk of love1

rampaging dead concepts2, intensifying Mind ache
if i lose my voice, then enlightenment

cling on now and don’t let go of a single person

yes, i want to steal you away, the one who was crying on this night turned to ash
i’ll sing, even if my voice withers up

wandering, let’s play out
the screams of our souls, suffer our grief

the words we exchanged that day
still bloom in my heart now, unfading

It’s your story

we ought to live unable to be forgotten
proof that we were together

yes, i want to steal you away, the one who was crying on this night turned to ash
i’ll sing even if my voice withers up

i won’t leave anyone behind on this night turned to ash
i’ll sing even if my voice withers up

i’ll sing until my life withers away
i’ll sing

1: Hazuki just combined 愛 (love)+亡き骸 (corpse/husk) here. Hard to say if he means the husk of love itself or the husk of something that was loved.

2: Hazuki wrote “gainen” (concept) here but with unusual kanji: 骸念. The notion of 骸 (husk/corpse) appears again; still hard to say what exactly it means.

This song’s working title was “COAST”, likely in reference to Shinkiba Coast, the venue where they held the tour final for DARK DARKER DARKNESS #2 prior to AVANTGARDE’s recording. This as well as his explanation makes me think this song is easy to interpret as a message to the audience.

More from Hazuki’s August 2016 tweet on the song: “Even if we can’t meet again, there’s no escaping the memory. We should burn it into our hearts as proof of the time we spent together.”
