lyrics & music / Hazuki
clad in the shadows we melt into the darkness
the ephemerally burning flames of life stop time
my feelings pierce deeply through you
so that it’ll be alright if tonight’s the last night
yeah, we’re sure to disappear like phantoms
into an end that feels like waking from a dream
For knowing how I live for now
I’ve got to paint my future black
with this singular love, i keep this night steadfast
A JUSTLY
Here I end up myself and need little more time
the answer is nowhere to be found
with this singular love, i keep this night steadfast
yeah, we’re sure to disappear like phantoms
into an end that feels like waking from a dream
For knowing how I live for now
I’ve got to paint my future black
now light comes to this place, yes
A JUSTLY
Here I end up myself and need little more time
the answer is nowhere to be found
now drown in the night fragrant with death
A JUSTLY
Here I end up myself and need little more time
the answer is nowhere to be found
with this singular love, i sing the song of eternity
keeping this night steadfast
SHADOWS IN LAST TIME
Hazuki described these lyrics in detail in UNDERNEATH_FILES VOL. 4:
“If I give away a keyword here, I think you can decipher everything for sure. I kind of think I want to refrain from going into depth about the lyrics, but… I have this feeling in me that says ‘I want to pursue music as if I don’t mind dying at any moment’. The words ‘LAST NITE’ to me represent my feeling of wanting to sing like I could be happy even today’s show were the last one ever. With this keyword, I think you can see this from the first stanza. This is imprudent of me to say, but there’s no telling when a member of the band might die, or when the band might break up. I wrote this from the idea that in that case, I need to savor every moment.”
