OBLIVION

music & lyrics / Hazuki

in a waking dream, i’m searching for words of farewell
will it be goodbye, or words of love?

an absolute fantasy in my brain
you’re flowering, i pluck you and eat you

moreish, it leaves behind a bit of bitterness

it seems like it’s
surely a dramatic addiction
it’s a romantic halation
take notice

hey, don’t make a face like that and agitate me
come now, that girl is surely crying too

dawn breaks, the night is pallid, stealing away the traces of the sky’s blood
as if to refuse the morning sun

what am i saying? it’s fantasy
you’re flowering, i pluck you and keep you

it’s addictive, the slight pain i love it

it seems like it’s
surely a dramatic addiction
it’s a romantic halation
take notice

hey, don’t make a face like that and agitate me
come now, that girl is surely crying too

a truly dramatic addiction
anyone would lose it
it’s a romantic halation
take notice

hey, even if you agitated me with that face
hey, i wouldn’t love you
hey, come now, that girl is crying softly

i’ll forget it
it’s just a memory

On April 1st 2014, Hazuki tweeted about this song: “This was the last song finished for the album, and the lyrics were the last ones I wrote too. Maybe it’s because I wrote this after I’d completely drained myself with the lyrics of the other songs, but my word choice is insanely messed up. The final punchline is overrun with a ridiculous sense of emptiness.”
