“‘BLASTED’ means cursed or annoying. BACK BONE can mean literal backbone or something behind you, among other things… Well, there was only one annoying thing lurking behind me while I was making this, so. (Bitter laugh) I’m sure you can figure it out if you look at the lyrics as it’s very direct.
