lynch.’s leader is known for being kind and affable, generally taking on a caretaker role as the oldest member of the band. He is a college graduate who is exceedingly well-connected in the industry, and was responsible for much of the managerial work in the band’s independent days.

Reo’s band history prior to lynch. makes him a legend in second wave “nagoya kei” visual kei bands — he was a part of a number of bands with lasting legacy in the scene, including kein and GULLET. Part of lynch.’s charm as a band made up of multiple generations of bandmen is in large part thanks to Reo’s legacy.

Even among the variety of characters in lynch., Reo is an odd duck. Unlike the others, he has no tattoos, although ironically he’s considered to be the member who looks the most like he belongs in the mob. He also doesn’t use social media, so it’s unfortunately a little harder for international fans to grasp his uniquely serious-yet-charming personality. He was born and raised Catholic — in fact, his given name of “Reo” is a variation on the name of a Catholic saint (presumably “Leo”). He is the proud owner of three male miniature dachshunds: Towa, Kuon, and Kou. Although he smokes, he gave up drinking and is quite concerned about his physical health, working out often to maintain a surprisingly muscular physique.
